About the Role

As a member of the core platform team, you will leverage your expertise in algorithms and data structures to optimize the underlying technology that powers the blockchain platform. You’ll work on core functionalities, including gossip protocols, consensus mechanisms, and data storage, ensuring the network remains among the fastest and most reliable options available. The role involves enhancing the platform’s scalability and reliability while reducing time to finality, with a focus on delivering features that benefit both the ecosystem and its users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and rigorously test algorithms.
• Design, implement, and document new features.
• Create and optimize in-memory and on-disk data structures.
• Analyze data flow and backpressure mechanisms to identify areas for improvement.
• Pinpoint and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Innovate and implement strategies to improve system speed and scalability.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of software development experience, with at least the last 6 years focused on Java.
• Knowledge of EVM & solidity smart contracts.
• Advanced knowledge of complex algorithm design and analysis.
• Deep expertise in Core Java concurrency and data structures.
• Strong expertise in API development & implementation (REST, GraphQL)
• Proficiency in Java memory management and data I/O processes.
• Knowledge of Blockchain & DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology).
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Adaptable and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
