Role Overview
This person will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses branding, growth hacking, public relations, influencer (KOL) management, and events for our web3 target audience. They will be part of a multidisciplinary marketing team, working cross-functionally with product, engineering, partnerships, and community teams to drive user adoption and engagement. This senior role requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experiences & execution within the Web3 ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Alongside the CMO, develop and implement a holistic web3 marketing strategy that aligns with company goals in brand awareness, user acquisition, and community engagement.
- Oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, events, PR) to maximize brand impact and user growth.
PR & Communications
- Own the public relations roadmap, establishing media relationships and orchestrating press releases and thought leadership opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to craft compelling narratives around our product offerings and Web3 vision.
KOL & Influencer Management
- Identify, onboard, and manage KOLs, influencers, and brand ambassadors in the crypto and broader Web3 space.
- Develop strategic partnerships and collaborative campaigns to expand reach within targeted communities.
Growth Hacking & Acquisition
- Design pragmatic strategies for user acquisition and retention, leveraging analytics and iterative testing for continuous improvement.
- Experiment with new marketing channels, refine messaging, and optimize funnels to achieve growth targets.
Events & Community Building
- Plan and execute digital and physical events such as conferences, hackathons, and meetups to build and engage our community.
- Collaborate with the community management team to nurture an active, loyal user base, gathering feedback to refine marketing strategies.
Team Management & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, and customer support to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all user touchpoints.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in the Web3/crypto/blockchain domain, with deep understanding of the ecosystem’s communities, influencers, and trends.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to define and articulate an overarching marketing strategy that drives brand awareness and user acquisition.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of storytelling for diverse audiences.
- Growth Marketing: Strong grasp of growth hacking techniques, user funnel optimization, and analytics-driven decision-making.
- PR & Influencer Relations: Established relationships with media outlets and crypto KOLs, or proven ability to develop such connections quickly.
- Leadership: Experience building, leading, and motivating high-performing teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Event Management: Demonstrable experience running both online and in-person events, from conferences to community meetups.
